Is this unacceptable? What would you do?

if you are friendly and comfortable with each other you could start with a light joke about it. you could trade rooms which would help a little, or just ask her to keep it down when shes having . she lives there too and it would be wrong to tell her when she can or can't have , just as she is wrong in not finding a way of doing it without so much noise. try to talk with her without insinuating that you want her to stop or to only go at it on a time that you deem appropriate or being pushy, but be firm in saying that she needs to stop waking you up with it.
