Can anyone really answer this type of question?

I am trying to clearly understand my level of intelligence or humour. Generally, people will praise me about these thing BUT I am wondering if subconsciously I am surrounding myself with people who are lower than my level to praise me and am stoping myself from interacting with people who are more intelligent than me. I know this sounds narcissistic, thats not my intention but I dont want to accept compliments and believe I am great unless its true. Then I think, if I can yse myself in such depth (trust me tthis is just the jist of my self ysis and ysis of my surroundings) then I must have some kind of quality about me! I dont come across the way I do over yahooanswers the way I do in real life, its the confidentiality that comes with it that can make me ask such ridiculous questions. I dont care if you say something derrogatory because I would to if someone a dumb question like this lol.
