Pope Benedict visit and UK popularity?

It clearly appears that Pope Benedict XVI despite some protesting is incredibly welcome and popular in Britain. As he has addressed and expressed sorrow at the atrocities of abuse within the Catholic Church do you think his popularity and all the positve work around the world which the Catholic Church does by far surpes the objection to him being in Britain. What do these banner waving angry people want this 83 year old man to do or say exactly anyway and how can he turn the clock back ?
