How can I kill maggots? They are everywhere!?

So we left the trash can against the house in the backyard (like we do every night). But someone left it open & it started raining & now there is maggots everywhere. They are all over the floor (inside & out) & on the walls. I sprayed bleach on them & on the doors (they are covering them) but they still don't die. We have pets & a baby here.
